The best yet

I’ve ridden for more than fifty years. Seven as a paid professional. I’ve seen and used quite a few throttle/helmet locks and to be honest most have sucked. I settled on a bicycle lock. I definitely won’t use a disk brake lock. I saw what happened when a guy forgot he had one on.
I will use this lock! The only negative is it’s kind of bulky. Both my bikes have bags so it’s not a problem for me. Otherwise I’d figure out somewhere on the bike to clip it.
Good helmets these days cost six hundred or more. It’s worth the effort to lock it up.

Different take on security

I have done the wheel lock and alarms, but I have not seen this one before. I thought I would try it out. I think the idea of basically locking the brake on the front wheel is a good idea. I have a fork lock, but technically you can still roll it. With this on, there is no rolling. I have a different helmet lock, so probably will not use the cable lock that was included. The overall build quality seems nice and the cable was thick and coated well. When I did lock it, I noticed that you had to be exactly straight on when locking and it took me a couple of tries to get the brake lever squeezed, held and then squeeze the lock at the same time. Once locked it does seem fairly secure. Just keep in mind all these types of things are just deterrents not a guarantee. The way I see it, the more I deter someone the more likely they will be to keep walking. It is a little pricey, but it does seem to show in the quality of the product.

Very happy with this security solution!

Very solid steel device that clamps down on your hand brake to prevent a bicycle or motorcycle from being rolled away. It includes some pads you can stick on to the device to prevent potential scratching of the handbrake or handle pad, but I really can't see needing to use them. Note that the lock is a super secure cylinder lock and it comes with two keys. There's also a coated cable that allows you to secure your helmet. If someone really wants to cut the cable I suppose they can - as we all know the bad guys have a lot of tools at their disposal these days. However once they see the chunk of steel holding the handbrake down, I think we'll just move on to an easier target.
